The NDP Pharmacare Plan - what they’re saying

Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions @CFNU
We applaud @theJagmeetSingh and @NDP for this clear commitment to a universal pharmacare program. This approach will save billions of dollars every year, and save lives every single day.  https://twitter.com/CFNU/status/1112771739329556480

Canadian Association of Community Health Centres @CACHC_ACCSC
Very encouraged to see @NDP's detailed commitment to universal, public #Pharmacare. 88% of Canadians say they want this, which makes it something all federal political parties should be behind. @Liberal_Party @CPC_HQ, will you also commit to a universal, public  program?

Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation‏ @HeartandStroke
We applaud today’s @NDP policy announcement calling for a robust, publicly funded national pharmacare program. All people in Canada deserve equal and timely access to their prescription medicines within a system where the public payer is the first payer.

Toronto Star
Jagmeet Singh’s federal New Democrats have come up with a bold plan for national pharmacare. It would start in 2020, cover everyone and — while costing the federal government an estimated $10 billion a year — ultimately save Canadians money.
